...the cover of Adoptive Families this month? If you did, you know my little sweeties were the grand prize winners of the annual cover photo contest! Our wonderful social worker sent me the link to enter the contest so to oblige her I submitted their picture. I think that was way back in June and I had forgotten all about it. But, a few weeks ago I got a phone call from the magazine asking for more information about the girls. When I called back I found out that after going through over 5,000 pictures ours was chosen as the big winner! We really can't believe it! The big prize was the cover of the magazine but we also won a $200 gift card to JCPenney portrait studio (Yay, free holiday cards this year!) and a digital camera!
But, even cover girls have bad photo-ops. Maddy couldn't stop looking at herself and Isabelle kept closing her eyes every time I tried to take a picture this morning.
In this picture Maddy is actually shouting, "Maddy cover girl! Maddy cover girl!"
Isabelle took a copy to school to share and when her teacher asked why she was on the cover of the magazine Isabelle said, "I don't know, we're just famous." Fame hasn't gone to their heads at all has it. :) Enjoy your 15 minutes girls!

Congrats!! I definitely agree with the magazine's choice. ;-) It's amazing how much Maddy has grown since that picture was taken- wow. She was such a baby then.
SO CUTE! You have two gorgeous girls.
Beautiful Brock Girls!
Isabelle is right! You guys ARE famous. I had a friend email me today saying, "I saw the cover of Adoption magazine and saw the girls were born in Kaz and Eth, and that made me think of your beautiful kids." I got to brag for a moment to say, "Yeah, and I know their mom!" lol! Ok, so I didn't really say it that way, but now I feel like I know a celebrity. ;-)
Wow, can't believe that they made the cover again....or was it a different magazine last time? I always knew they were famous! I am going to post it on my FB...

Maddy cover girl! LOL I love it! Congrats, young ladies. :)
That's awesome... Maeve would like an autograph the next time we see the girls... ha.
Over 5,000 entries?? WOW--that's a big deal! Congrats! Love seeing their beautiful faces every time I visit the AGCI website!
Hi Aubrey... RE: your comment about the hair... yeah, I have no real secret except that Maeve's hair is quite long and stays in "okay" with a bunch of product. Still quite frizzy with all the napping and pulling she does -- but I try and spray it and tame it so that the style can last 2-3 days. I had attempted hair earlier in the day but to no avail... Maeve has taken to shaking her head back and forth when I attempt to do hair a lot of the time. Makes for very interesting hair sometimes! I feel like doing her hair is going to be a constant work in progress... Good to hear from you!
Congrats..How exciting for you guys... It is a great photo.. cannot wait for my copy of the magazine to drop in my letter box..
Oh, they are so cute! And I love their comments about their fame. :)
